(MENAFN) The UAE is interested in a USD150 million deal with the US through which the US Marine Corps would extend its contract to train the Presidential Guard of the UAE, Arabian Business reported.
The US Defense Security Cooperation Agency said that the Government of the UAE requested a sale for follow on US Marine Corps blanket order training, training support, and other related support for the UAE Presidential Guard Command.
The US agency said: “This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a friendly country that has been and continues to be an important force for political stability and economic progress in the Middle East.”
