(MENAFN) The healthcare and pharmaceutical sector in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), the UAE’s logistics hub for the Mideast, grew by 10 percent to 314 firms in 2016.
Furthermore, the value of trade in the sector grew to USD3.62mn in 2015, emphasizing the country’s growing notable in the local medical and cosmetics industry.
Meanwhile, the free zone is cooperating in the Arab Health exhibition from Jan 30 to Feb 2 at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Center.
Accordingly, the medical equipment market in the Mena region will grow by 8.8 percent annually between 2015 and 2020.
