(MENAFN) UAE’s Ministry of Economy’s Director-General, Mohammad Ahmad Bin Abdul Aziz Al Shehi, said that to make sure that products and goods in the market conform to the ministry’s standards, the ministry launched a number of measures to prevent attempts to sell fake goods, reported Gulf News.
Al Shehi added that the ministry coordinated measures with relevant local departments and regulatory authorities to achieve its target.
He also said that the ministry would not accept any attempt to manipulate prices or sale of counterfeit goods, adding that it would increase inspection tours on a daily basis to promote stability.
It is worth noting that at the current time, there are over 400 inspectors who work with the ministry to secure control on the markets.
