(MENAFN) The UAE Federal Customs Agency (FCA) announced that the country’s total non-oil trade with the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) countries reached USD1.66 billion in January, reported Arab News.
The agency said that of the amount, USD435 million were exports, USD626 million re-exports and USD598 million imports.
Saudi Arabia emerged as the country’s top trade partner among GCC countries, with total trade between the two nations hitting USD626 million, followed by Oman with USD435 million, whereas Kuwait ranked third with USD219.9 million, Bahrain with USD185.3 million and Qatar with USD183 million.
It is worth noting that the UAE’s total foreign trade with Arab countries in January reached USD2.83 million, while the country’s total non-oil foreign trade in the month rose by 8 percent from 2011’s same period of USD19.67 billion to USD21.31 billion.
