UAE offers more USD69 m aid to Syria

(MENAFN) UAE has announced its plan of offering extra USD69.32 million aid to Syrians affected by the conflict, up from USD14.155 million in 2012, according to Khaleej Times.

World Food Programme says Syria may suffer food shortages for 6.5 million people this year.

Minister of International Cooperation and Development Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi commented that the government was the main reason of the cause, providing USD56 million worth of aid in two years.
