UAE posts 9.11% rise in air traffic in October

(MENAFN) The UAEï¿½s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said in a report that air traffic movements in the UAE have grown 9.11 percent in October, year on year, Gulf News reported.

According to the GCAA report, overall air traffic movements were 57,295, with an average of 1,848 movements per day, during the month of October.

Dubai came in first with 25,192 traffic movements, followed by overflights at 12,515, whereas Abu Dhabi ranked third with 8,057 air traffic movements for the month, the report revealed.

It is worth noting that as far as air safety is concerned, the GCAA completed 12 licensing transactions for aircraft maintenance companies, four aircraft registration certificate transactions and 43 airworthiness certificate transactions.
