(MENAFN) The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) said that the number of tourists that visited the emirate amounted to 768,061 in the first half of the current year, reported Arab News.
SCDTA added that hotels and hotel apartments had an average of 75 percent occupancy in the same period.
The majority of tourists came from Saudi Arabia which accounted for 60,000 tourists of the total number.
SCDTA noted that the tourism sector in the emirate is growing steadily despite the challenges of global market trends.
