(MENAFN) UAE and Taiwan’s bilateral trade is expected to grow by 7.4 percent to USD7.2 billion in 2014 compared to USD6.7 billion last year, Emirates 24/7 reported.
The bilateral trade between the two countries grew on average 2-3 percent annually and the growth is predicted to be faster this year.
Taiwan exports to UAE reached USD1.7 billion in 2013, while Taiwan imports to UAE were around USD5 billion, with major exports from Taiwan to UAE were electronics, auto spare parts, machinery, textiles and some accessories, while major exports from UAE to Taiwan were oil, gas and aluminum.
Meanwhile, the UAE’s foreign trade grew at an average rate of 12.6 per cent during the last three years to reach more than USD290 billion at the end of 2013.
