(MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (Adipec) has generated an estimated USD8.5 billion worth of business, Gulf News reported.
Adipec has posted a 70 per cent growth in generated business compared to USD5 billion, which was generated last year, with 16 National Oil Companies and 17 International Oil Companies participating in the event.
Aside from signing deals, important topics were discussed like the fall in oil prices, the US production of shale gas as well as the progress of oil projects.
“It is through such initiatives that we are able to bring the best and brightest minds to share the most sophisticated technologies, latest research, and expertise. This dissemination of knowledge plays a pivotal role in the development and progress of the energy sector,” Director General of Adnoc (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) said.
