(MENAFN) Al Futtaim Motors’ Managing Director, Simon Frith, said that the firm would recall around 2,000 Toyota vehicles as a result of a technical malfunction, reported Emirates 24/7.
Frith added that the firm, which distributes Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the UAE, would recall and examine 929 Toyota Avalon and Camry cars that were manufactured in 2004, in addition to 1,015 Lexus RX330 and ES300 vehicles which were also manufactured in 2004, adding that the company might replace the crankshaft pulley on the V6 engine.
He also said that Al Futtaim Motors would contact all clients who bought the mentioned models in order to inspect their vehicles.
It is worth noting that Toyota is recalling 550,000 vehicles worldwide including 10,000 vehicles across the Middle East region.
