(MENAFN) Dubai Customs (DC) announced that it has generated revenue of USD20.41 million during the past three years as a result of them implementing various information technology initiatives which helped them save USD45.46 million in costs, Emirates 24/7 reported.
The government body said its technical achievements also included 100 per cent automation of external services and 97 per cent of internal services, as well as reducing the time needed to complete duties payment processes by 95 percent due to the application of the virtual account system.
“DC deploys top-notch technical solutions to facilitate trade and secure borders by taking services quality and delivery channels to a new height and now we are using smart services and cutting-edge solutions used in post-clearance audits in our facility,” Director of Information Technology Department at the Customs Development Division in Dubai Customs said.
