(MENAFN) UAE-based retail giant Majid Al Futtaim and Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) have signed an agreement to launch a retail academy and industry consortium, according to Arabian Business.
Under the agreement, Majid Al Futtaim aims to support educational sector.
Majid Al Futtaim Charity Foundation and HCT’s commercial arm, the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) will undertake the project.
In addition, the project aims to launch retail careers of Emiratis, which now accounts for 20 percent of the UAE’s non-oil GDP.
