UAE’s Nakheel awards USD11.9m contract

(MENAFN) Nakheel plans to construct a new 10,000 square meter retail and recreation center at its Al Furjan community in Dubai, according to Arabian Business.
The company has awarded the USD11.9 million contract for Metac General Contracting to build the new facility.
The new facility will include 24 shops, including a 3,000m2 supermarket, plus 10 cafes and restaurants.
Construction work of Al Furjan’s new community retail hub is planned to begin in the fourth quarter of the current year, with anticipated opening in March 2016.
