(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi’s Zakum Development Company (Zadco) said that it inked an early civil work contract at the offshore Upper Zakum oilfield with Al Jaber Energy Services, reported Gulf News.
The company, a venture of state-owned Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), US oil major ExxonMobil and the Japan Oil Development Company, added that the project would take 36 months to be completed.
On the other hand, a spokesperson said that Al Jaber received a letter of award and scope covers enabling works, civil works and other miscellaneous works at 4 artificial islands under construction.
It is worth noting that Al Jaber Energy Services is an engineering, procurement and construction contractor with expertise in civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and pipeline work.
