(MENAFN) Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne said that his country is interested in boosting its trade ties with the Sultanate of Oman, Arabian Business reported.
The statement came during his trip to the Gulf state. Oman Daily Observer quoted Osborne as saying he expects more British ministers to visit Oman following a trip by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II in November 2010.
Bilateral trade between the two countries is currently valued at USD842.9 million with export from Oman worth USD238.3 million.
Lately, London-based Ultra Electronics won USD331 million agreement from Oman to upgrade technology at Muscat and Salalah International Airport.
