US Starwood to operate Four Points hotel in Riyadh

(MENAFN) Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa & Middle East president, Roeland Vos, announced that the company has inked a deal with Saudi Khaldia Towers Company to operate a Four Points by Sheraton hotel in the city of Riyadh, reported Arabian Business.

Vos said that the recent deal expands Starwood’s presence in the Kingdom where the tourism market is booming, driven by large numbers of business travelers in addition to religious sites.

He added that the launch of Four Points by Sheraton Riyadh Khaldia in this year’s second quarter will raise the number of hotels Starwood operates in Saudi Arabia to 12.

Vos noted that in the coming 3 years, the company, which operates around 50 hotels and resorts across the Middle East under 8 of its 9 distinct lifestyle brands, will add another 5 new hotels in the Kingdom.

According to the hotel operator, the Four Points by Sheraton Riyadh Khaldia hotel will comprise 376 rooms including 138 suites, 3 restaurants and lounges, in addition to an ultra-modern meeting and event space, with 18 meeting rooms along with a spa and fitness centre.

Khaldia Towers Company’s general manager, Othman S Abahussain, said that there’s a robust demand for mid-market hotel brands in Saudi Arabia, adding that the Four Points by Sheraton has a great reputation with business travelers worldwide.

It is worth noting that Khaldia Towers Company is a joint venture between Al Jedaie Group and Al Hokair Group.
