Yemen inaugurates $260m cement factory

(MENAFN) Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh inaugurated on Wednesday Hadramout Cement Factory, affiliate to the Arabian Yemen Cement Company (AYCC), in Al-Masna’ah area in Hadramout governorate, SPA reported.
The factory costs a total of $260 million with a production capacity at 1.5 million tons per annum.
At the opening of the factory, Saleh expressed pleasure for finalizing and opening this important factory which would contribute to development and economic growth in the country as well as contain a sufficient number of local employees.
In this context, he re-welcomed all kinds of investment, either in Hadramout or any other province, wishing success for the factory to meet its objectives.
