(MENAFN) Zain Saudi Arabia said that it has signed a milestone agreement with Ericsson to deploy 4G mobile network which will allow end users to enjoy higher speeds and a host of innovative high quality multimedia services, Reuters reported.
Zain KSA signed the agreement with Ericsson, the world’s leading provider of telecommunication services and equipment to operators, at a ceremony in the company’s headquarters in Riyadh.
The agreement involves the completion of stage one of the deployment of the next generation of mobile phone technology (LTE) that will cover four main cities in the kingdom – Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Al Khubar.
The 4G/LTE will enable Zain KSA customers to use internet (broadband) advanced services, such as sending and receiving files and videos, online games and many other services in high speeds.
