(MENAFN) BMW Group Middle East’s managing director, Joeg Breuer, said that during the first ten months of the current year, sales of the company’s Mini brand surged 86 percent in the UAE, reported Gulf News.
Breuer added that demand for the brand in the country was strong, as more young people tend to drive cars that were made for individuals; moreover, the launch of the new Mini showroom in Media City participated in the surge in sales.
He also said that the company’s partners invested about USD100 million in facilities, people and equipment in the country, adding that the carmaker would expand business in several UAE’s emirates including Fujairah, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi.
It is worth noting that the UAE is BMW’s biggest market in the Middle East with sales share of 50 percent.
