Etisalat international revenues increase to 23% of total

(MENAFN) Etisalat’s Group Chief Financial Officer, Salem Al Sharhan, said that the company’s revenues from outside the UAE increased to 23 percent of total revenues in 2010, reported Gulf News.

Al Sharhan said that the telecom operator is seeking to accomplish its goal of bringing international revenues to account for 50 percent of the company’s total revenues.

Al Sharhan added that international net profit also increased from 0.4 percent to 7 percent of total profits of USD2 billion in 2010.

The CFO said that, in 2009, Etisalat’s international revenues accounted for sixteen percent of total revenues, which amounted to USD8.7 billion.
