(MENAFN) Libya’s Elephant oil field’s manager, Hussein Abuseliana, said that output operation’s at Italy’s Eni’s largest oil field in Libya started again after they were stopped during the country’s civil war, reported Arab News.
Abuseliana added that current production capacity at the location reached 40,000 barrels per day (bpd) compared with 130,000 bpd before the start of the war in Libya.
He also said that production was slow since the team working at the field lacked some devices, in addition to control room equipment, adding that the major damage was at the camp and a team was working on repairing accommodation.
It is worth noting that El Feel is close to Spanish oil group Repsol’s El Sharara oilfield, which resumed production in October.
