(MENAFN) Marriott International Hotel announced that its investments and expansion in the Middle East and Africa helped boosting its performance in the April-June period, Gulf News reported.
The US-based hotel chain’s revenue in the region went up 3.9 percent on-year, while hotel occupancy increased 4.4 percent in the same period.
This growth is mainly attributed to Marriott’s new expansions in the region like the New Protea Hotels, which opened in the second quarter in Africa.
The chain also expanded in the UAE by opening two new hotels: Al Jaddaf Marriott Hotel Dubai and the Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf Dubai.
