(MENAFN) UAE-based Etisalat reported a 26 percent growth in its profit in the second three months of the current year, as its majority stake in Maroc Telecom strengthened it, according to Arabian Business.
Etisalat made a net profit of USD680.7 million during the quarter compared to USD539 million in the year-ago period.
Etisalat, which beat the USD596 million analysts’ forecast polled by Reuters, did not provide a quarterly net profit breakdown in its results statement.
The company’s net profit for the first half boosted to USD1.22 million, up 19 percent from the same half a year earlier, the statement said.
