(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies (Adat) CEO, Jeremy Chan, said that the company had a deal with the International Aero Engines AG (IAE) where the latter would provide Adat with support enabling Adat to become an IAE approved maintenance, repair and operations shop, reported Gulf News.
The CEO said that with this agreement, Adat would be capable of performing overhaul of the V2500 aviation engine series exclusively for Etihad Airways. Adat would under this agreement maintain the airline’s fleet of V2500 powered A320 aircraft.
The CEO added that Adat plans on strengthening alliances that serve the company’s expansion and boosts its operations, while IAE Executive Vice-President of Customer Business Jim Guiliano said that his company is interested in expanding experiences and skills of companies in the UAE and other markets in order to provide best support to its important customers in the region.
