BBK Honors 37 Employees as part of their annual Service Award Ceremony

Few days away from Labor Day, BBK celebrates the loyalty of its staff by honoring 37 long-standing employees at a ceremony headed by its Chief Executive Mr. A.Karim Bucheery and attended by the Banks Executive Management members. The honoring ceremony was hosted at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre on the 24th of April.

The 37 BBK employees were awarded for their service of 35, 30, 25, 20, 15 or 10 years. In addition to being awarded with cash prize and recognition plaques, a luncheon was held in their honor.

At the event, Mr. A.Karim Bucheery thanked the employees for their notable contributions to BBK’s development and their loyalty to the organization. He emphasized on BBK’s strategy to build the Bank’s human capabilities and invest in training in order to retain talented individuals.
Addressing the group, Mr. A.Karim Bucheery said: “The human capital was and still continues to play a crucial role in maintaining the Banks performance and enhancing its products and services, offering them to its valuable customers and stakeholders. I would like to emphasize that the Banks’ record profit of BD 39.15 million for 2010, could not have been possible without the positive effort, loyalty and achievement of the employees. On the other hand, the Bank always strives to reward its employees in various ways through schemes such as the Employee of the Month, Star Service Excellent Award, as well as the Service Award.”

Mr. A.Hussain Bustani, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources and Administration also stressed that the Bank’s priority is talent retention especially in light with the growing competition and added: “Stemming from its belief of enhancing the Banks’ pool of talents as an important factor for achieving its goals, the Bank is proud to embrace a team of experts and of high caliber standard individuals, and will continue to invest in its employees capabilities through specialized training programs within and outside the Kingdom.” 

The award ceremony, which is held on an annual basis, is part of BBK’s approach to reward its employees’ dedication and appreciate their continuous efforts and loyalty
