BBK launches “BBK BanKey” Transaction Banking Platform for businesses in Bahrain

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has announced the launch of the BBK BanKey platform, the new transaction banking solution, which enables businesses to manage their accounts and conduct numerous financial operations digitally with unrivalled benefits around the clock.

Mr. Ahmed Taqi, General Manager of Corporate Banking at BBK, said: “BBK BanKey is one of the bank’s newest digital solutions, designed to serve businesses and assist them in achieving new levels of operational efficiency, accuracy, speed and sustainability. Mr. Ahmed stated that this platform is built in line with industry best practice standards, incorporating straight-through-processing (STP); bringing new levels of operational efficiency, improved accuracy, and faster turnaround times. He affirmed that that BBK will continue to build and support the platform on an ongoing basis, adding new features and capabilities to suit the demands of clients, hence exceeding their expectations.

BBK BanKey enables businesses to get full control of their finances, manage all of their accounts, make quick and easy payments, manage liquidity structures, reconcile accounts, and so much more. All balances, statements, and transaction statuses on BBK BanKey are available in near real-time, providing accurate information on the account and the transactions made. To ensure the integrity of data, BBK BanKey uses the highest possible security standards in line with the Bank’s objectives towards achieving sustainable development.

Corporate customers can also access the “Fawateer” service through this platform to pay their bills pertaining to telecommunications, electricity and water, value-added tax, custom fees and other bills.  It is noteworthy that BBK BanKey has a unique information reporting system which allows clients to design their own reports and have near real-time reporting of balances and activities on the operating accounts, loan accounts and fixed deposit accounts with BBK. This is in addition to the availability of adding accounts at other financial institutions for consolidated balance reporting and generating payment advice, SWIFT confirmations, VAT invoices and more. BBK BanKey also has a Mobile App that allows for approval and release of transactions and near real-time account enquiry.

BBK BanKey will be replacing BBK Cashlink platform and all business owners who wish to register their establishments on the “BBK BanKey” platform may contact their relationship manager or the Transaction Banking Support Center for companies on 17207772.
