(MENAFN) Etihad, the Qatar-based airlines, responded to claims regarding the diversion of one of its flights and its unplanned landing, confirming that it was not a terrorism-related issue, reported Gulf News.

The EY19 Etihad flight to Heathrow airport in London landed in Stansted airport due to a case of inappropriate comments made by a disruptive passenger. The passenger was left in Stansted and the flight completed its route. The airline confirmed that the passenger did not jeopardize the safety of others on board.

Stansted police confirmed, after investigations, that the incident was not terrorism-related.
