(MENAFN) The Saudi- African continent total trade rose by 40.2 percent in the 2005-2012 period, reaching USD14.29 billion in 2012 compared to USD10.19 in 2005, Arab News reported.
Saudi Arabia’s imports from Africa increased in that same period too, rising from USD1.69 billion in 2005 to USD4.50 billion in 2012, while exports from Saudi Arabia to the continent reached USD9.68 billion in 2012.
Meanwhile, the size of investments made by the Saudi private sector in the African continent registered around USD1.22 trillion in the cited period.
