After the launch of its sustainability framework, BBK announces its focus on the Environment

BBK announces its support towards the protection of the environment as part of its CSR strategy for the year and in line with the increasing local, regional and global interest in promoting and facilitating environmental protection.
BBK is keen to play an active role in protecting the environment and achieve a balance between urban development requirements, and the protection of the environment and wildlife in the Kingdom of Bahrain, ensuring the preservation and sustainable development of natural resources for future generations.
BBK Group Chief Human Resources and Administration Officer, Mr. Hassaan Burshaid stated that the Bank’s commitment to support environmental issues in Bahrain is part of its recently announced sustainability framework.
“Embracing environmental issues in the Kingdom of Bahrain is a long term investment financially, environmentally and socially, benefitting our customers, shareholders, employees, and the society as a whole. BBK is working as a Bahraini national institution to help overcome challenges facing the environment”. He added
BBK is constantly working on adopting the best environmentally friendly practices. This includes digital transformation, developing its own green financing rules and frameworks, financing environmentally friendly projects. And of course enhancing the BBK brand and its sustainable financial performance and social positive footprint to continue achieve shareholders’ satisfaction and customers’ aspirations.
“BBK is keen to cooperate with the concerned stakeholders to ensure best practices in the field of environment protection as well as launch relevant initiatives in this area. It will nevertheless continue its commitment towards other sectors, such as education and health,” added Mr. Burshaid.
