Fitbit Pay

Fitbit Pay is a free contactless payment solution that uses NFC technology to make payments with your Fitbit smartwatch or tracker. It offers a secure way to pay for your purchases without accessing your banking details.

All BBK Debit Cardholders with a compatible Fitbit device can use this service. Android mobile devices must be running on Android 4.4 KitKat or higher, while iOS devices must run on iOS 10 or higher.

Download the latest version of the Fitbit App on your Apple or Android smartphone and follow these steps:

1. Make sure your Fitbit device is nearby, and open the Fitbit app on your smartphone.
2. Select the “Today” tab, tap your profile picture, and then your device image.
3. Tap “Wallet” and follow the instructions to add your card.
4. If you don’t have a PIN for your watch yet, you will be prompted to set one.
5. Enter your card details.
6. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
7. Enter the authentication code sent via SMS to your registered mobile number.
8. Follow the instructions on how to activate notifications on your phone.
9. Once done, Fitbit Pay will sync your activated BBK card to your smartwatch via Bluetooth.

You can add up to six cards to your Fitbit Wallet (5 cards for Fitbit Charge 3 and 4) and choose which card to use as the default payment option.

Fitbit Pay can be used to make payments in stores that accept contactless payments. To know if the establishment accepts Fitbit Pay, please look for the symbol below:

The Fitbit app’s Wallet section is where you can add or remove cards to use for Fitbit Pay. You can also use this section to select a default card, edit a payment method, review purchases, and suspend a lost or stolen card.

To open the Wallet, open the “Today” tab, tap your profile picture followed by your device image, and then select “Wallet.”

Using your default card:

1. Press and hold the left button of your Fitbit device, and hold your wrist near the payment terminal.
2. Enter your 4-digit PIN if prompted. Your default card will appear on your screen.
3. Your device will vibrate, and a confirmation message will appear on-screen if the payment is successful.

Using a different card:

1. Tap the screen to find the card you want to use.
2. Once the card is selected, hold your wrist near the payment terminal.
3. Your device will vibrate, and a confirmation message will appear on-screen if the payment is successful.

When you set up your Fitbit Pay, you will be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN. You will need to enter your 4-digit PIN to authorize payment if:

1. It has been 24 hours since you last made a payment.
2. You took your smartwatch off and will be making a payment for the first time since wearing it again.

BBK allows you to view your three most recent transactions using Fitbit Pay in the Wallet Section of the Fitbit app. Follow these steps to view your transactions:

1. First, open your Fitbit app, tap “Today,” and then your profile picture.
2. Next, tap your device image, then “Wallet.”
3. Tap the card you want to view, then swipe up to see your transactions.

If this feature is unavailable for your account, you may view your Fitbit Pay transactions in your bank statement.

Yes! Fitbit Pay utilizes a series of security features, including an industry-standard tokenization platform to keep your card information private and is never shared with anyone, not even Fitbit itself. Additionally, you are required to use a personal 4-digit PIN to make sure only you can access your Fitbit Pay.

If you lose your Fitbit device, you can remove or suspend the cards that you added to it through the Wallet section of your smartphone’s Fitbit app.
