Al Futtaim unit wins sporting facilities contract in Qatar

(MENAFN) Dubai-based Al-Futtaim Engineering said its Qatar unit won a maintenance contract from a Qatari company that operates sporting facilities, Arabian Business reported.

The Qatari unit; Hamad and Mohamad Al Futtaim, has signed a five-year mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) maintenance deal with Aspire Logistics.

Owned by Qatar’s government, Aspire Logistics is a strategic business unit of Aspire Zone Foundation, responsible for building, operating and managing sporting facilities in the Gulf state.

In addition to the recent contract, Hamad and Mohamad Al Futtaim has other high-profile MEP projects in Qatar including the Burj Al Marina within the Lusail City development, IKEA which is located at Doha Festival City and the Heritage Quarter which includes a mosque, a prayer hall and heritage houses.
