As part of its efforts to prepare and qualify employees for leadership roles, BBK promotes 6 of its national cadres

BBK, the leading retail and commercial bank in Bahrain, has announced the promotion of six exceptional employees, including two women, to the position of Assistant General Manager. This strategic decision underscores BBK’s dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within the banking sector and aligns with the bank’s robust approach to empowering Bahraini professionals, equipping them with the necessary skills and expertise to excel in their fields. By providing comprehensive training programs and mentorship opportunities, the Bank is actively paving the way for these individuals to drive innovation and growth within the organization.

The promotions included Mohammed Zainalabedin, Department Head of Business Development, Latifa Al Sadeh, Department Head of Real Estate, Services & Trading, Manaf Al Musawi, Department Head of Contracting, Building Material & Manufacturing, Mahmood Taher Taheri, Financial Controller, Zain Al Zayani, Head of Communications, Customer Experience & Sustainability and Fathi Al Teraifi, Chief Information Security Officer.

On this occasion, Dr. AbdulRahman Saif, Group Chief Executive of BBK said, “I extend my sincere congratulations to all our employees who have recently attained these well-deserved promotions, a testament to their distinguished competencies refined through years of dedication and professional commitment.”

Mohammed Zainalabedin joined BBK in 2005 and has held various positions during his tenure, with more than 23 years of experience in the banking sector. He holds a master’s degree in finance from DePaul University.

Latifa Al Sadeh joined BBK in 2007 and has more than 16 years of experience in the banking sector. She holds a master’s degree in finance from DePaul University and has completed “The Senior Executive Leadership” Program from Harvard Business School.

Manaf Almusawi began his career at BBK in 2015, during which he held various positions, and has more than 18 years of experience in the banking sector. He holds a master’s in business administration from DePaul University.

Mahmood Taheri joined BBK in 2020 and has more than 22 years of experience in the banking sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Bahrain and is a Certified Islamic Professional Accountant and a Charted Global Management Accountant.

Zain Al Zayani joined BBK in 2021 and has more than 23 years of experience, including four years in the banking sector. She graduated from the University of Bahrain with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has completed “Leading Financial Institutions in an Era of Innovation and Transformation” program from Harvard Business School.

Fathi AlTeraifi started his career at BBK in 2022, during which he held various positions, and has more than 25 years of experience, including 8 years in the banking sector. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business information system from the University of Bahrain.
