BBK, Bahrain’s leading retail and commercial bank, has signed a partnership agreement with Eskan Bank to provide housing loans to Bahrainis eligible to benefit from the recently introduced housing finance program, “Mazaya”.
This collaboration demonstrates BBK’s enthusiasm to further support its customers by offering them with diverse housing loan options thus helping them achieve the goal of owning their own home.
Under terms of this agreement, BBK customers will receive housing loans as part of the “Tas’heel” program which will provide three different financing options; “Tas’heel Aqari”, “Tas’heel Al Bait Al Oud” and “Tas’heel Ta’awon”. This will include new benefits introduced as part of the “Mazaya” program under the New Housing Finance Program, in partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Eskan Bank.
Dr. Adel Salem, General Manager of Retail Banking at BBK said “We are delighted to sign this agreement with Eskan Bank following our long-established partnership. This collaboration, which provides co-financing solutions to citizens and beneficiaries of housing programs, enables them to buy and own their dream home.”

Dr. Khalid Abdulla, General Manager of Eskan Bank, praised BBK’s leading role in supporting housing programs, while providing pioneering opportunities that allow people to access suitable financing options, enabling the purchase of their ideal home. Dr. Khalid that by cooperating with the Eskan Bank and the Ministry of Housing, BBK plays an important part in ensuring the success of various housing finance programs within the Kingdom.
In a statement on the occasion of the signing ceremony, Dr. Khalid emphasized Eskan Bank’s eagerness to continue providing mortgage financing for low-and-middle-income Bahraini citizens. “This is part of Eskan Bank’s plan to grow and develop as a strategic partner of the Ministry of Housing by providing innovative and comprehensive solutions, in cooperation with government entities, Bahraini banks and private sector institutions as well as promoting efforts to support the Kingdom’s sustainable economic development.” Dr. Abdulla stated.
