BBK announces the introduction of its fourth operational 24/7 “BBKPLUS” Digital Zone concept at the Budaiya FM

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking announces the addition of a new full-fledged “BBKPLUS” Digital Zone in its Budaiya Financial Mall available for customers 24/7.
This expansion of the BBKPLUS concept into BBK’s Financial Malls is part of the Bank’s strategy towards the digitization of its banking services which aims to provide customers with a unique banking experience across all of BBK’s banking channels. This introduction follows the successful launch of its self-service digital branches launched first in the Bahrain City Center back in early 2020 followed by a unique concept of the digital branch within the Tala Plaza Financial Mall in February, 2021 and most recently with the launch of the BBKPLUS branch in Al Liwan project in Hamala in June, 2021.
Dr. Adel Salem, General Manager of the Retail Banking Division at BBK commented: “We are witnessing the future of the banking sector as we gradually shift towards the digitization of our banking services and we are pleased to continue offering our customers with the latest in the banking industry. 
The Budaiya Financial Mall self- services will be available around the clock for our esteemed customers and will provide a wide range of advanced digital services over and above what was previously available at this Financial Mall”.
Dr. Adel added: “It will be hosting an array of digital services where customers can perform their transactions easily and at their own convenience through its Smart ATM, an ATM specially designed for customers with special needs, a drive through ATM,  a Deposit machine for both retail and corporate customers, a Corporate Deposit Machine exclusive to Corporate customers  that accepts cash, cheque and coin deposits,  an Instant Debit Card Issuance Machine which offers a variety of services such as instant debit card issuance, card renewal and card replacement, a Bank Statement Issuance Machine, in addition to the Interactive Teller Machine that assists customers in performing their banking transactions using voice and video technology”.
It is worth noting that this latest addition to the branches network is one of the many initiatives by the Bank towards the digitization of its banking services across its network and is one among a series of enhancements in those channels. Another BBKPLUS new branch is also targeted to be opened at Diyar Al Muharraq by year end 2021.
