BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking presented prizes to the winners of its 2014 Annual Awards during the Bank’s annual dinner held on 15th January at the Gulf Hotel. These yearly awards are part of the Bank’s Employee Recognition Programme (ERP), which was launched in April 2013 and is aligned with the Bank’s philosophy that a motivated and engaged workforce translates into a superior banking experience for its customers.
The programme rewards BBK employees who have either demonstrated exceptional performance or who have made significant contributions in a number of specific areas, such as creativity, organisational ability, workplace success or teamwork.
During the event, Mr. Abdulkarim Bucheery handed over the Chief Executive Yearly Awards to Najwa Salman Al Ahmed – Department Head – Human Resources & Administration winner of the CE Award for Distinguished Achievement and to Ali Ehsan Abbas – Chief Representative – Dubai office winner of the CE Award for Excellence in Leadership.
He also awarded, A.Jalil Habib A.Redha as Best Teller, Fatima Yousif Abdulsalam as Best Sales Consultant, Sara Abdulghafoor Abdulla as Best Customer Service Representative and Aysha Hesham Mattar as Best Team Leader.
And In Recognition of team work, Retail Remedial Management Team won The Best Team of the Year and the City Centre branch won The Best branch Of The Year. Mr. Bucheery handed over the trophies and certificates to the two team members.
Throughout the year and under the ERP programme, BBK has recognized deserving employees for notable achievements in support of the Bank’s performance and productivity objectives, based on criteria set out by the bank’s senior management. A high number of employees were presented with ‘Spot Awards’ and ‘Monthly Awards’ in its 3 categories: bronze, silver and gold.
