BBK announced the graduation of 145 students from the Bank’s training programme, which aimed at improving the skills of young Bahrainis in various fields such as communication skills, time management, self-control, emotional intelligence and creating opportunities, public speaking skills and self-development. Mr. TJ Walker, one of the world’s top experts in empowering young people as well as training presidents, ministers and senior officials around the world, delivered and supervised the training program.
On this occasion, BBK honoured the top 10 trainees who achieved the highest scores as per the evaluation criteria put in place by TJ Walker. Participants in the training programme displayed exemplary commitment to attending sessions and presenting reports about communication, leadership and speaking skills as well as use of modern communications tools. The top 10 performers were rewarded with different denominations of Al Hayrat certificates as per their scores, giving them the chance to win one of the biggest cash prizes in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
BBK Group Chief Executive Dr AbdulRahman Saif expressed his pride in the success of the Bank’s initiative under BBKCares, and said: “Even though this was the first time we launched such initiative, we were overwhelmed with the amount of applications received from young Bahrainis, which strengthened our faith in the strategy that the Bank adopted this year to support learning and traning, We’ve invested in even more resources to ensurewe reap the fruits of our efforts by seeing so many young Bahrainis excel as they get exposed to new avenues of knowledge.They have successfully improved their soft skills and opened up to new horizons.
Dr Saif added: “BBK will evaluate this experience via tracking performances and measuring goals in preparation of developing this initiative further. It’s also worth mentioning that the Bank continues its ongoing support towards education through various initiatives such as the sponsorship of The Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme and Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Fund, The Virtual Sustainability laboratory at University of Bahrain and the Journalists training programme. Stemming from its strong belief in Bahrainis’ ability to achieve, The Bank sees investing in Bahraini youth is a direct investment in the future of the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
