BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, recently hosted an in house presentation by InJaz Bahrain to create awareness of their programmes and to encourage BBK’s employees to register as volunteers. The non-profit organization aims to empower young Bahrainis and prepare them for today’s business challenges. The presentation, which was attended by employees from all departments of the Bank introduced the various InJaz programmes, the numerous benefits they offer to Bahraini youth and the community, and the ease of registering to volunteer.

Commenting on the initiative, BBK Chief Executive, Mr. Reyadh Yousif Sater, said: “BBK is proud of its longstanding relationship with InJaz Bahrain and its on-going commitment to participate in InJaz Bahrain programmes. On this occasion, I would like to thank InJaz Executive Director, H.H. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa for her continuous efforts in developing innovative academic programmes that help our youth learn skills that are not typically taught in schools. I would like to also thank our employees who have volunteers throughout the years and encourage the new generation of employees to continue this tradition of voluntary work. By participating in InJaz Bahrain’s programmes as volunteers, BBK employees are supporting the development of a generation of Bahraini youth who are work ready, equipped with an entrepreneurial spirit, and financially literate.”

BBK has more than ten years of cooperation with InJaz, during which it encouraged its employees to volunteer year after year achieving more than 1200 hours of volunteering to deliver all kinds of educational programmes provided by InJaz from 2006 till this day. The Bank also recently launched an internal campaign as well as an external one for the public through the Bank’s social media accounts, aimed at spreading awareness and increasing enrollment rates of InJaz programmes.

The presentation was attended by a significant number of employees who expressed their interest in volunteering and their role in developing the capabilities and knowledge of Bahraini students by  transferring their knowledge and expertise in the field of banking and economy to those students.

InJaz Bahrain brings together a diverse array of volunteer businessmen and businesswomen from the community who actively engage the students with the academic curriculum through the sharing of their own real life experiences. This knowledge, expertise, and practical experience is a perfect complement to the Kingdom’s existing educational platforms.
