BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, recently hosted an in house presentation, encouraging employees to become volunteers for INJAZ Bahrain, a non-profit organization that aims to empower young Bahrainis to own their economic success, and prepare them for today’s business challenges.

The presentation, which was attended by employees from throughout the Bank, featured inspiring talks by existing BBK employees who are INJAZ volunteers. The latter expressed the sense of satisfaction that volunteering gives, as well as the significant personal development they gained through their involvement. Representatives from InJaz also spoke about the various InJaz programmes, the numerous benefits they offer to Bahraini youth and the community, and the ease of registering to volunteer.

Commenting on the initiative, BBK Chief Executive, Mr. Reyadh Sater, said: BBK has a proud 45-year history of ‘giving back’ to our society, and by participating in INJAZ Bahrain programmes, our employees are continuing that tradition. The Bank is a keen supporter of INJAZ Bahrain’s innovative academic programmes that help our youth develop skills that are not typically taught in schools. By participating in these programmes as volunteers, BBK employees are supporting the development of a generation of Bahraini youth who are work ready, equipped with an entrepreneurial spirit, and financially literate.

INJAZ Bahrain brings together a diverse array of volunteer businessmen and businesswomen from the community who actively engage the students with the academic curriculum through the sharing of their own real life experiences. This knowledge, expertise, and practical experience, delivered by the community, private sector volunteers and in-market chapters, is a perfect complement to the kingdom’s existing educational platforms.
“BBK is dedicated to adding real value to the community, and through our involvement with INJAZ Bahrain we seek to empower the youth of Bahrain, and help shape a brighter, more prosperous future for the Kingdom”, Mr. Sater added.
