BBK extends its support to the elderly community

BBK has reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility by extending its support to the elderly community. The Bank allocated a total amount of BD 40,000 in 2023 to support societal initiatives that prioritize social care and enhance the quality of life for the elderly. BBK’s dedication towards those entities ensures their sustainability in offering their services and implementing their projects in the long run.

Mr. Hassaan Burshaid, Group Chief Human Resources & Administration Officer stated: “This contribution is part of the Bank’s dedication to fostering community growth and nurturing healthy family wellbeing, while strengthening the overall welfare of the elderly community.”

“The collaborative effort across all sectors is crucial to elevate the elderly care system and promote social solidarity. The support to this segment of the society is a fundamental duty and part of the Bank’s focus in its social responsibility framework.” added Mr. Burshaid. He also stressed on the diversity of sectors that the Bank supports, on an ongoing basis; be it philanthropy, education, sports, health and many more.

In this context, the Bank organized a visit to The Bahrain Parents Care Society. Mr. Ahmed Al Banna, Chairman of the Society and Mrs. Huda Al Humood, Executive Manager of the Society welcomed Mrs. Rafa Kaddoura, BBK Head of Corporate Communication and Mr. Abdulrahman Danish, Corporate Communication Specialist and were taken on a thorough tour around the Society, showcasing the valuable services and numerous programs and activities that The Bahrain Parents Care Society offers to its members.

Mr. Ahmed Al Banna conveyed his deep appreciation for BBK’s support. He stated that this will enable the Society to implement its projects, enhance its services, and provide additional means of care to the elderly community. Furthermore, he acknowledged BBK’s role as a leading institution actively contributing to the growth and prosperity of the society.
