Coinciding with the Labour Day celebrations, BBK  honoured 34 of its loyal employees who served the Bank for many years and contributed to its success, at a ceremony held on the 25th of April 2016 at the Gulf Hotel. Under the patronage of the Chief Executive of BBK, Mr. Reyadh Sater and  in the presence of BBK Executive Management, the event was also attended  by Mr. A.Aziz Ahmadi, the Representative of the Bahrain Banker’s Union.
The 34 employees were awarded for their 5, 10, 15, 20,25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service with recognition trophies and cash awards. Following the honouring ceremony, a luncheon was held in their honour.

During  his  speech, Mr. Reyadh Sater thanked the employees for their notable contributions to BBK’s development and for their loyalty to the organization. Addressing the honourees, Mr. Sater said: “The year 2015 has been filled with excellent achievements and we are also proud of  the results achieved in the first quarter of 2016 as we recorded a net profit of BD 15.28 million, a 2.9% growth over the same period of 2015.
On this  occasion, Mr. Reyadh Sater also thanked the Bank’s employees and congratulated them for the success of the subscription to BBK capital securities offering  which exceeded 86%.

“Those results are a testimony of the competencies and skills of our employees and the team spirit that prevails” added Mr.Sater

“Employees are an integral part of the Bank; as such employee-related-policies are BBK’s top priority. The Bank  constantly enhances  existing  ones and  develops new ones,   In 2015, BBK launched its Alumni Club to preserve the ties of all the  members of  the BBK family, It has also established a Women Empowerment Policy, ensuring gender equality.” Mr. Sater added.

With a history that spans more than 45 years, BBK was able to maintain its leading position and increase profitability. This is attributed to the human capital policies that the Board of Directors endorse to ensure retaining the-high-calibre-employees.

Mr. Hassaan Burshaid, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources and Administration stated that BBK appreciates loyalty, hard work, and professionalism and always strives to reward its dedicated employees. On this occasion, Mr. Burshaid commented: “Although competition is increasing, prides itself to remain the employer of choice in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to    attract young talents for all the benefits and career development it offers. We are also proud to have achieved a 96% Bahrainisation rate and we will continue to invest in our employees through specialized training programmes and to ensure that they are Bahrain’s future leaders in the financial sector.”

“As part of the policy enhancements,  and to increase the number  of honorees in the Service Award Ceremony,  the Bank  has now included in this honoring, employees with 5 years’ service at the Bank,  to increase their loyalty and encourage them to grow with BBK. It has also enhanced the reward scheme for all the honorees to meet today’s evolving  needs” added Mr. Burshaid.

The Service Award Ceremony, which is held on an annual basis, is part of BBK’s approach to reward its employees’ dedication and appreciate their continuous efforts and loyalty.
