BBK Honours its loyal employees as part of its annual Service Awards Ceremony

On the occasion of Labour Day, BBK celebrated the loyalty of 45 long-standing employees who, throughout the years have contributed to the success of the Bank. The award ceremony was held at the Gulf Hotel on the 22nd of April 2015, under the patronage of BBK Chief Executive Mr. A.Karim Bucheery. It was attended by Mr. Khalil Zainal, the representative of Bahrain Bankers’ Union, in the presence of the executive management of BBK.

The 45 BBK loyal employees were awarded for their 10, 15, 20,25, 30 and 35 years of service with recognition plaques and cash awards. Following the honouring ceremony, a luncheon was held in their honour.

 

At the event, Mr. A.Karim Bucheery thanked the employees for their notable contributions to BBK’s development and their loyalty to the organization. Addressing the honourees, Mr. Bucheery said: “The excellent results the Bank has been achieving over the years are a testimony of the competencies and  skills of the our employees and the team spirit that prevails.” He stressed on the cooperation between all employees, who strive to achieve the same goal and on their partnership in the journey of success.

 “Stemming from its belief that the human capital is the most important asset,, BBK constantly develops policies and procedures that promotes this culture. It has lately established an alumni club to maintain the connections with ex-BBK employees and to preserve the ties between all the members of the BBK family. It has also adopted a Women Empowerment policy to ensure gender equality, specially that women in BBK represent 35%, an increasing percentage that the Bank is proud of.”

With a history that spans more than 45 years, BBK was able to sustain its leading position and increase profitability. This is attributed to the integrity and the-high-calibre-employees that the Bank has managed to retain.

Mr. Hassaan Burshaid, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources and Administration stated that BBK appreciates loyalty, hard work, and professionalism and always strives to reward its dedicated employees. On this occasion n, Mr. Burshaid commented: “Although competition is increasing, BBK prides itself to remain the employer of choice in the Kingdom of Bahrain and to attract young talents for all the benefits and career development it offers. We are also proud to have achieved a 95% Bahrainisation rate and we  will continue to invest in our employees through specialized training programmes and to ensure that they are Bahrain’s future leaders in the financial sector.”

The Service Award Ceremony, which is held on an annual basis, is part of BBK’s approach to reward its employees’ dedication and appreciate their continuous efforts and loyalty.
