BBK launches its very own “Digital Academy” Digi Pro to Develop its Human Resources

BBK, Bahrain’s leading retail and commercial bank, has announced its plans to launch the “DigiPro” digital academy.

Through this academy, the Bank aspires to enhance the efficiency, productivity and contribution of its human capital while focusing on the digital transformation of its banking and financial services.
The launch of this initiative falls under the Bank’s framework which aims to boost the skills and competencies of its employees considering the challenges posed by the shift towards digital transformation and a new banking system. . As a result, BBK partnered with the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) to provide a variety of training courses and high-quality learning and development programs specially designed to keep up with the advancement of technology and the digital transformation of the banking industry.

The programs introduced by the Academy include four levels that have been devised to suit the needs of employees and their role in the digital transformation process. At each level, trainees follow a different educational path that covers a variety of themes, information, skills, and training sessions, all following practical schedules that improve employees’ lifestyles and boost their efficiency at work.
According to Dr AbdulRahman Saif, Group Chief Executive of BBK:

“The launch of the Digital Academy is part of BBK’s strategic initiatives to support its digital transformation journey to provide its customers with a cutting-edge banking experience while increasing efficiency and productivity.”

“Since we firmly believe that each organization’s success depends on the performance of its team and its capacity to pick up new skills following market trends, we are investing towards enhancing our employees’ digital skills. This demonstrates our dedication in providing them with in-depth knowledge of the digital domains that have an impact on the Kingdom’s financial sector and assist its development and prosperity.”

For his part, Mr. Hassaan Burshaid Group Chief Human Resources & Administration Officer reaffirmed the bank’s commitment towards strengthening the expertise of its cadres working in various departments and providing them with opportunities to advance their operational skills.

“We are constantly striving to improve the Bank’s outputs and solutions in order to facilitate efficient digital banking and financial transactions and that is by involving employees in programs that provide them the skills to drive future growth in the field of digitization in the banking sector.”

According to Mr. Burshaid, the academy’s primary goal is to promote awareness, educate, and train staff in e-banking services, digital financial management, and to keep them updated with the latest technologies in finance. This is accomplished through advanced and specialized courses that complement the Bank’s current strategic ambitions.
