BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, announced that it has signed an agreement with Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) to offer Education Loans for undergraduates and postgraduates to pursue their education at the BIBF, in collaboration with several prestigious international universities.
This loan is targeted specifically towards parents who would like to enroll their children at the BIBF and also towards working professionals who would like to obtain professional qualification degrees whereby BBK offers them with the funding they need to register at the institute at preferential interest rates, a quick approval process and flexible payment terms.
Dr. Adel Salem, General Manager of Retail Banking at BBK stated that this loan is part of the bank’s goals to support Bahraini students in the field of education, as well as its keenness to continue supporting the financial and banking sector with trained national competencies capable of maintaining the leadership position of the financial sector in the region.
On the occasion of the signing ceremony, Dr. Adel stressed on BBK’s efforts to continue supporting national strategies to develop human capital in the Kingdom of Bahrain as part of the economic recovery plan (2022-2026).
“We are pleased to offer this motivational based loan which supports Bahraini youth in the field of education, helping them unleash their capabilities, nurture their skills, and boost their contribution in building a bright future for the Kingdom”, Dr. Adel said.
On his part, Dr. Ahmed AlShaikh, Director of the BIBF, stressed that the “Education Loan” from BBK will encourage more students and working professionals to enroll in BIBF’s programmes, which meet the needs of the financial sector, enabling graduates to secure a future and a rewarding career.
“Our cooperation with BBK is part of a long-standing and beneficial relationship in a range of initiatives that benefit the financial and banking sector and the development process of human capital in general in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” Dr. Ahmed said.
BBK has recently implemented a variety of initiatives in education and training including training Bahrainis through the Digital Literacy programme, offering free memberships in the renowned Udemy Academy to 200 Bahraini students, as well as a training program for young people presented by one of the best international speakers, Mr. T.J. Walker.
