BBK supports the “Bahrain Association of Banks” – donates BD 10,000

In line with their strategic initiatives for a brighter community and its support towards the banking industry in the Kingdom, BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, handed over a cheque of BD 10,000 as a gesture of their support towards the Bahrain Association of Banks. The cheque was handed over by Mr. Reyadh Sater, General Manager- Shared Services Group of BBK to Mr. Robert Ainey, Chief Executive of the Association in the presence of Mr. Abdul Hussain Bustani, Assistant General Manager- Human Resources and Administration- BBK, Ms. Heyam Naif, Public Relations & Events Manager- BAB, Ms. Mayan Ghaith, Public Relations & Events Coordinator- BAB and Ms. Abeer Swar, Corporate Communications Officer – BBK.

The Association has received regular support from the Bank through its ongoing membership and sponsorship of prestigious international events over the past years such as the Bahrain Reception at the IMF. Those contributions help the Association with the additional financial aid required to promote the cause of the financial sector of Bahrain both regionally and internationally.

The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) was established in 1979 by Ministerial Decree as the professional association of banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain and re-registered under the CBB as a licensee in 2010.

BAB represents and advocates the interests of all the various licensed financial institutions in Bahrain and works closely with the Central Bank of Bahrain and other government authorities at the highest levels on issues of banking policy and regulation, as well as actively promotes Bahrain as an international financial centre.  
As one of the major financial institutions in Bahrain, BBK has supported the banking industry since its establishment in 1971 and continues to play a crucial role in providing the latest products and services in the banking world through a state of the art technology and advanced e-banking solutions. It has also offered the required recruitment opportunities in the sector, training and providing banking skills for Bahrainis, ensuring highly qualified and competent employees, taking leading banking positions locally and regionally. These initiatives are aimed at achieving the sole goal and vision of a brighter future and community in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
