With the support of BBK, BIBF and BJA hold a graduation ceremony for journalists completing the training program

In recognition of the key role of journalism in developing the Bahraini economy, the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) and the Bahrain Journalists’ Association (BJA), with the support of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), held a graduation ceremony for participants who completed a specialized training program to enhance the economic skills of journalists of the Journalists’ Association.

This program was designed to highlight all financial aspects of journalistic excellence. It included training in various financial fields such as conventional banking, Islamic banking, Takaful insurance, financial markets, and digital transformation, which play a pivotal role in the Bahraini economy

The honoring ceremony was attended by Dr. AbdulRahman Saif, BBK Group Chief Executive, Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, BIBF Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rashid AlHamer, Secretary to the Board and Head of International Relations at Bahrain Journalists Association, Mr. Yahya Al-Omari, Chairman of the Professional Development Committee, as well as officials from the relevant authorities.

On this occasion, Dr. AbdulRahman Saif expressed BBK’s commitment to selecting a strong and advanced training program for journalists, in cooperation with BIBF and BJA. This effort aims to equip journalists with the competencies necessary to navigate and thrive in the digital era. Dr. Saif also extended his gratitude to the Bahraini media for their significant societal impact and asserted his enthusiasm for strengthening this vital field. The training program is designed to sharpen journalists’ economic insight and skill sets, thereby empowering them to make meaningful contributions to the broader economic landscape.

Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, BIBF’s CEO, also commended the Bahraini media for their pivotal role in supporting the community development process and enhancing the quality of reporting and journalistic analysis in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He expressed his pride of BBK, a leading Bank, as well as the Bahrain Journalists’ Association to enhance the economic skills of journalism in the Kingdom.

Isa Al Shaiji, BJA Chairman, added that this initiative has contributed to empowering journalists and supporting them to keep pace with the rapid developments in the world of economy and digital transformation. He expressed his deep gratitude to BBK for adopting this distinguished initiative, which reflects the Bank’s interest in developing the Bahraini community at all levels and in various fields.
