98% difference in salary of Qataris, expats

(MENAFN) Deputy Emir and heir to the Qatari throne Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani said that Qatar’s decree to pay more for the country’s citizins would improve the local market, reported Arabian business.

The difference between the locals and expatriate in the salary is now a 98 percent pay in which Qatari nationals take double the amount of a non national.

Salaries in Qatar are regarded the highest in the GCC paying, 20 percent more on average than elsewhere in the Gulf.

It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani ordered a 60 percent pay rise for Qatari nationals in the government.
