(MENAFN) Esnaad, a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Co (Adnoc), has announced the opening of a brine plant capable of producing 2,000 to 3,000 barrels per day to service the oil and gas facilities offshore Abu Dhabi, according to a press statement.
The new plant produces various types of brine including sodium chloride and calcium chloride and also has the capacity to produce the heavier brines such as calcium bromide and sodium bromide.
The plant also receives used brine for filtering, cleaning and treating before sending back to the rigs.
