(MENAFN) Statistics Centre Abu Dhabi (SCAD) said that the emirate’s inflation rate climbed 4.13 percent by November-end of 2010, year on year, driven by accelerated housing rents and energy costs, Khaleej Times reported.
However, the average rise in prices during the mentioned period was 3.04 percent compared to a year earlier, as the consumer price index (CPI) climbed to 119.19 points, up from 115.67. During November, the CPI increased 0.17 percent, month on month, SCAD data revealed.
According to official data, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels were the largest contributors to the overall year on year increase in prices during the first 11 months of 2010, accounting for 57.3 percent of that increase.
