Abu Dhabi’s building material prices up in July

(MENAFN) Statistics Centre-Abu Dhabi (SCAD) said that during the past month, the prices of building materials grew, where average cement price went up 8.1 percent a tone and Al Etihad White Cement/UAE’s cement price surged 15.8 percent, reported Emirates 24/7.

SCAD added that in the month, the prices of items in the aggregates and sand group ranged between 11.1 percent and 23.1 percent where the average price of items in the whole group rose 17.7 percent recording the biggest increase amongst all building groups.

It also said that due to a 42.9 percent decline in the price of Glass/6mm/ Saudi Arabia and another 39.2 percent drop in the price of Mirror Glass/4 mm Saudi Arabia, glass group prices dropped by 33.1 percent.

It is worth noting that as a result of a notable increase in the price of “CU 132kv/ 1800mm” which went up 66.9 percent, the prices of Power cable grew 44.7 percent in July, while “Transport Equipment” rents surged by 37.6 percent and “Wires for Residential Towers” prices hiked 25.2 percent.
