(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s (ADTA) Strategy & Policy Director, Lawrence Franklin, said that in 2011’s first five months, hotels’ performance in Abu Dhabi kept growing, reported Khaleej Times.
Franklin added that in the period, hotel guest numbers rose 10 percent compared with the same period in 2010 reaching 866,501, whereas guest nights went up 26 percent from 2010 to 2,615,503.
He also said that revenue in the period grew 6 percent reaching USD513 million, in addition, occupancy rose 10 percent to 71 percent while average length of stay increased by 15 percent to over three nights.
It is worth noting that compared with the same period in 2010, food and beverage contribution in revenue rose 10 percent.
